IBP LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE NEW PRODUCTS AT ISH 2007

March 2007
IBP is pleased to announce the launch of its new technically innovative Sonic and >B< Press PI products at Hall 4 Stand E31 at ISH 2007.

Sonic - the future of cold fitting solutions has arrived

Sonic offers the first universal, professional cold jointing solution for all pipes including carbon, plastic, stainless steel and copper. It is fast and easy to install and the pipe is protected from injury during connection. Once connected, Sonic remains firm but not fixed so it can be turned without misalignment. It will also maintain electrical continuity throughout the joint.

By offering a universal solution to cold jointing, Sonic offers benefits to distributors, installers, professional plumbers and contractors. It is estimated that Sonic will enable distributors to reduce stocks and storage levels by up to 75%; installers will be able to reduce their installation range; professional plumbers will be able to reduce not only the weight in their toolbox but also their inventory costs; while contractors can look forward to reducing installation times.

The slimline dimensions of Sonic make it perfect for a wide range of applications and its stylish appearance is ideal for exposed pipework. Although its compact size is significantly smaller than pushfit and crimp alternatives, it still delivers a giant performance.

Sonic is extremely strong and durable with a patented body design made from DZR and is the only product in the world in this category that has just two internal parts: an O-ring (made out of EPDM) and a stainless steel Grab ring.

Sonic is available in a wide range, from 10 - 54mm, covering all water system applications and is manufactured to EN1254-6 standard with WRAS and DVDW approvals pending. It will be launched throughout Europe on a phased basis during 2007.

No more leaking joints

The >B< Press PI range offers a unique pre-press indicator that has been developed to answer a specific market requirement.

Thanks to a special EPDM o-ring seal with patent applied, if the >B< Press PI joint is not pressed, it will leak at very low pressures and continue leaking as pressure increases. There is no need to go to full test pressure to identify leaks and it removes the danger of expensive leaks from un-pressed joints that remain undetected under light water pressure.

Unlike other products on the market, jaw orientation will not affect performance and >B< Press PI does not require 100% inspection of joints unless the test shows a pressure drop.

The >B< Press PI is ideal for installation work where multiple joints are being fitted simultaneously and provides peace of mind to the professional plumber.

>B< Press PI is available in sizes 12 to 54mm and will withstand up to 40 bar of pressure. It has been designed to cover a wide range of hot and cold water applications and is WRAS and DVGW approved.
